In less than 30 days, the Queensland Government will enforce a state-wide ban on single-use lightweight plastic shopping bags.
This week, the NRA have launched a large-scale education campaign across QLD to prepare retailers and consumers for the impending ban.
The campaign will run until mid-July, with Queensland great, Mal Meninga, coming onboard as the campaign ambassador.

Queensland’s plastic bag ban is set to commence on Sunday 1 July 2018.
The ban includes single-use lightweight plastic shopping bags under 35 microns including compostable, degradable and biodegradable bags. The ban will apply to ALL stores and retailers – including takeaway food, online stores, and even markets.
